Frequently Asked Questions

What documents do you translate?
We translate all types of documents: birth, marriage, and death certificates, diplomas, transcripts, certificates, extracts, passports, employment records, medical documents, and any other official documents.
How much does a translation cost?
The price depends on the type and length of the document. A standard translation (1-2 pages) starts from 40 EUR. Send your document for an exact quote — it's free and non-binding.
Will my translation be accepted by Standesamt / Ausländerbehörde?
Yes. Our translations are made by a certified translator authorized by Landgericht München I and are recognized by all authorities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland — including Standesamt, Ausländerbehörde, consulates, courts and notaries.
When do I need an apostille?
If you are translating a document from Ukrainian to German — no apostille is needed on the translation, as it is done by an authorized translator. However, an apostille on the original document may be required (e.g., birth certificate) — it is obtained in Ukraine BEFORE the translation begins. If you submit a translation from German to Ukrainian to the Ukrainian consulate — an apostille on the translation is required. We assist with apostilling documents issued in Upper Bavaria.
How can I submit a document?
Via WhatsApp, email, or the form on our website. A good quality photo or scan of the document is sufficient. The original will be needed later for final verification.
When do I need to pay?
Payment only after receiving the finished translation. No prepayment. The original is delivered by post or available for pickup in Munich.
Do I need the original document for the translation?
No, a good photo or scan is enough to get started. The original may be needed for final verification, but we usually work from a copy.
Do you translate Soviet-era documents?
Yes, we translate documents of any type — modern Ukrainian, Soviet (USSR), and documents issued by other CIS countries. We have experience with all form types.
Can I order a translation if I am not in Munich?
Yes, we work with clients across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Send the document online, receive the finished translation by Deutsche Post or PDF by email. No personal presence required.
Does the Jobcenter cover translation costs?
Yes, in many cases the Jobcenter covers the costs of certified translations. We provide a cost estimate (Kostenvoranschlag) in a format accepted by the Jobcenter. Check with your Berater before ordering.
